Symptoms of Lacking Vitamin on Kids


Lack of Vitamin A

Vitamin A's core function is to improve immune system, healthy skin eyesight at night and growing up. If lacking vitamin A, xerophthalmia can be seen. Which means loss of cornea and white liquid around the eyes thus causing sensitiveness on eyes and losing eyesight at night. In the meantime lack of A vitamin also can cause throat and chest infections together with gastrointestinal disease risks. Growing and bone developing delays are also indication of lacking A protein on kids. To prevent this, give your children green leafs, milk and eggs. Lack of vitamin A can treated without long term damage usually.


Lack of Vitamin C

Lack of C means your body can't produce collagens anymore. Collagens not being produced means a number of tissues going to get torn apart in your body and repair of damaged tissues are going to be delayed. Your teeth gum is going to bleed and have inflammation. You are going to suffer from anemia and feeling weak. You should give your kids greens, tomatoes, citrus fruits, kiwis and things like broccoli to supply them with C.


Lack of Vitamin D

Lack of vitamin D can cause cramps, weakness on the muscles and easy fractured bones on your kids. Teeth problems are another indication of lack of vitamin D on your kids. Fish, yellow part of the eggs and cereal products are good source for vitamin D


Lack of Vitamin E

Lacking vitamin E is not commonly seen. Usually a result of not eating properly and can cause neurologic problems. Being born with insufficient weight might be a cause of this. Symptoms are weak muscles, seeing problems, lazyiness, walking problems and shaking. Almonds, avocados, spinach and potatoes are good sources for vitamin E.


Lacking B12 vitamin

Known as cobalamin, is a vitamin that is water soluble vitamin. Essential for brain and nerve functions also used on producing blood. B12 lacking kids often seem to have anorexia, delay on growing, neurological problems, weakness and feeling angry. Wholemeal products, hazelnut, fish and  poultry products should be added to your child's meal will prevent from these happening.
